Good afternoon my friends!  Happy weekend to everyone!  :)

So what's hoppin and boppin today? Well one of the teachers at my Mom's schookl is getting married today.  I thought the wedding was this afternoon and planned my day accordingly.  Well it so happens that the wedding is tonight and I hadn't planned for that.  So I am not sure if I will be going.  I haven't made up my mind yet.  I don't have to and I really want to watch the NASCAR All-Star Race.  Plus I have to keep track of as I am the comissioner of the family's NASCAR pool.

I am a very brave guy.  I don't usually grow cajones but I suddenly grew them yesterday.  Politically I am conservative but I am Libertarian on Social issues despite being a Christian.  Well of course the SoCons have their panties in a wad over the ruling on Gay Marriage in California on Thursday.  Well yesterday I had the gail to post a dissenting opinion on the matter over at Mike Huckabee's blog.  Suddenly I am a heratic and I have no morals.  Ouch that hurts.  Cuts right through me like a knife.  But you knew the job was dangerous when you took it Fred (Super Chicken referance for those wondering).  At least I grew some balls and stood up for what I believe in.

It's about one week before I am the King of the Castle.  Yeah I am a guy.  While my folks are gone I'll probably order Pizza a few times but I also want to cook some.  Is bacon hard to cook?  Will I catch the house on fire if I try?  I know already that I shouldn't fry it naked...or without a shirt on.  I just don't want to be eating Peanut Butter Sandwiches and pizza for two weeks.  I need some swankiness while I am King ya dig?

Hi there. I'm glad you were brave and were a dissenting voice about something you believe in - it's way harder to be a dissenting voice among people you generally agree with than it is to be a dissenting voice among a crowd.

I grew up in a very strict Catholic community and had some very difficult discussions with my parents and others in my community when some of my friends started coming out of the closet. While I think that religion gives some people strength and hope, it gives others blinders. There are a lot of so-called "Christian" precepts that I think aren't Christ-ian whatsoever... and I agree strongly with you that dissenting against those is the right thing to do.

We may or may not have Skype in the lower floor of our condo tomorrow! So maybe we can see if we can hook it up so you can join us to at least say hello during the Indy screenings. They are starting at noon PST (though, I bet it'll start a bit late, everything always does with these people!)

Good for you for standing up for your beliefs! I think the heresy is requiring conformity in order to belong to the group - to say that political conservatism must bring with it social conservatism or you get kicked out of the club. Where's the freedom to hold our own opinions? How about discussion instead of judgement? That might be more fun. :)

Bacon is easy to cook. Don't walk away from it while it's cooking (as with anything, but especially involving grease), but if you're there watching it should be fine. :)
